Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Yes!  It's that time again!  Once a year, usually around Super Bowl, Plated offers up their delicious Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing.  Considering it is Super Bowl week, now is the time to accept the fact that wings and pizza are staples and meant to be thoroughly enjoyed...so why not combine the two?  And thats exactly what Plated did.

This dish is super user friendly, and touches upon all of the flavor profiles to create the perfect balance of savory and spicy. You have the gruyere and mozzarella cheese melted to perfection, the siracha and garlic buffalo sauce, and the homemade chive, ranch dressing to top it all off.  I promise you that this won't disappoint, and even the traditionalists who prefer straight up wings or regular pizza will embrace this, begging for more.

I am glad to see that Plated amped up the amount of Siracha and Butter given to provide more of a sauce for the chicken.  *Great improvement here!*  But below are some extra tips that I have for you, if you decide to make this.

*If you want to speed up the cooking time for the chicken, you can always pound it thin.  But keep in mind, there are a few steps that get done while the chicken is cooking, so this isn't necessary if you like everything to be timed out just right.

* If you aren't comfortable with your knife skills, grab a pair of poultry scissors.  You can cut the chives up with ease without having to worry about slicing them with a knife.  This is a fast and simple way to get the chopping done without the hassle!

*You have the option to slice or shred the chicken for the pizza.  I always opt to shred especially in a dish like this.  The texture goes better with the pizza and will incorporate well with the sauces.

*I always add a little bit of honey to the buffalo sauce (my husband's secret).  It adds a tiny bit of sweetness to balance out the spice of the siracha in the sauce.

*After  I added the chicken to the pizza, I put the whole thing back into the oven for an extra 5 minutes to let the cheese melt around the chicken, and to allow the flavors to really meld together.  **Make sure to keep an eye on the pizza closely so that you do not over cook it!**  Once I took it out, I topped it off with the ranch dressing and saved a little extra on the side for dipping.

<3  P.S. I like to cut my pizza into squares, so that's how we enjoyed it, but be creative with it...it will still be a flavor explosion anyway you cut it.
