Summer Trend #5: Kimonos

The Kimono, translating to “thing to wear on your shoulders”, is a traditional Japanese garment, and has been popping up everywhere in the fashion scene this season. I love this trend, because Kimonos can take a super casual outfit and give it just the right amount of style to dress it up and turn into something special. Or it can be the cutest coverup for your beach bikini.

Some of them are light weight and lacy, and some of them are more dramatic and scream night out on the town. I love how you can find so many different patterns and colors…the options are literally endless. Here are some of my favorite picks for this summer.
